Jack’s Fork

The Jacks Fork River is located within the Ozark National Scenic Riverways; along with the Current River they flow through Mark Twain National Forest.  The Jacks Fork is one of the most exciting and scenic rivers to float in the Ozarks.  With crystal clear spring-fed water, this river is a pleasure to be on at any time of the year.  The upper sections of the river, above Alley Spring, are narrow and provide plenty of excitement during spring or after a nice rain.  Camping in this section of the river are more sparse and primitive.  Plenty of large gravel bars along the river provide great camping locations during overnight trips.
