Current River
The Current River is located within the Ozark National Scenic Riverways; along with the Jacks Fork river they flow through Mark Twain National Forest. These two rivers are some of the finest floating rivers you’ll find anywhere in the Ozarks. The Current River itself flows through Missouri for 138 miles before crossing the border into Arkansas; where it continues for another 40 miles before joining up with the Black River. The Current river is floatable year-round with its consistent flow of cool, clear spring-fed water. With its cool spring-fed waters the Current river one of the best places to cool off during hot summer months.
